Ron Phipps-Ellis

Ron is the founder and CEO of Evolv, a leading SMSF audit service and software business in Australia. With a career commencing in auditing, he later established his own tax and accounting practice which gave him a deep understanding of how to assist his colleagues in the industry.
Having concurrent experience in auditing SMSF’s, he recognised the inefficiencies and manual processes that SMSF audit professionals faced. This insight led him to establish a SMSF audit only business in 2006 which subsequently rebranded to Evolv.
Having learned and listened to what accountants need, he used his vision plus strong belief in technology to build a super audit platform which was released in 2012. He has harnessed this technology in building a high-performance team with a client centric culture focussing on efficiency and scale.
As an entrepreneur, his dedication to innovation and technology remains relentless. Under Ron’s leadership, Evolv has become a trusted and an award – winning leader in SMSF audits and software.
His commitment to the industry is further reflected in his role as a director of the Auditors Institute, a body dedicated to educating auditors.
